What reFrame Is Not

reFrame is not a substitute for professional advice. Specifically:

  • reFrame does not diagnose mental health conditions, personality disorders, or psychological states.
  • reFrame does not provide therapy, counseling, or clinical treatment of any kind.
  • reFrame does not provide legal advice or guidance on legal strategy, custody matters, or litigation.
  • reFrame does not provide medical advice.
  • Pattern detection is probabilistic, not diagnostic. The presence of a detected pattern does not confirm intent, pathology, or clinical significance.

Suggestions Are Reflective, Not Prescriptive

All suggestions, reframes, and “first move” prompts generated by reFrame are reflective in nature. They are intended to prompt self-reflection and awareness, not to direct action. Users should exercise their own judgment and consult qualified professionals (therapists, attorneys, mediators, counselors) before making decisions based on reFrame's output, especially in high-conflict, legal, or safety-sensitive situations.

AI Limitations

reFrame uses large language models to analyze communication patterns. These models can make errors. Output should be considered one perspective among many, not an authoritative assessment. reFrame's analysis is based solely on the text provided and does not account for tone of voice, body language, relationship history beyond what is described, or other contextual factors.

No Professional Relationship

Use of reFrame does not create a therapist-client, attorney-client, or any other professional relationship. reFrame is a software tool, not a professional service provider.

Crisis Situations

reFrame includes safety detection for crisis-level content and will surface appropriate resources when detected. However, reFrame is not a crisis intervention service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact emergency services (911) or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Data Handling
